Sublevo on the Socials

"Sublevo translates to “uplift” in Latin. A unique and true representation of myself and what my brand embodies"

Kia Ora! I am Zoe, the founder of Sublevo.

I am based in Whangarei, Northland.I have been a qualified beauty therapist since 2012 but I only found my passion for lashing just over 4 years ago and I haven’t looked back since. Sublevo translates to “uplift” in Latin. A unique and true representation of myself and what my brand embodies. I started Sublevo a year and a half ago with a burning passion to create an environment where my clients felt comfortable and left feeling their most confident. I also wanted to create a space where other lash artists felt comfortable being able to reach out and to connect whether it be through advice, recommendations or building friendships. I have been able to achieve this not only through my one on one interaction in the studio but also on my social media platforms.

Receiving the nomination and winning the Lash Industry Award for Excellence in Marketing has increased my confidence in myself and my brand Sublevo. The recognition of my creativity on my social media platforms has motivated me to elevate my business in multiple areas. It has helped give me the drive to start the process of launching a second path of the business and branch into education with Sublevo Academy. This is another avenue that I feel passionate about with being able to help uplift the standards on the lash industry by providing a comfortable and encouraging space to learn all things surrounding lashing, safety, brows and social media.

"Let your personality shine through, show your character and show your uniqueness".

My main focus for my social media marketing that reflected through my submission was the Sublevo values of uplifting, empowering and being authentic. I believe all three off these factors have contributed to the success of the Sublevo brand whilst creating a relatable platform for clients and other lash artists to be inspired and educated.

The Lash Industry Awards are an inspiring and safe space, so if you are someone who considered entering last year but was unsure of what to expect, this is your sign to go for it. My main advice for entering is to just be yourself. Let your personality shine through, show your character and show your uniqueness. Remember why you love lashing and use this to shine and stand out from the crowd.

I would like to acknowledge and thank Sheree Miller for all her hard work and dedication in creating the very first New Zealand Lash Industry Awards. Her commitment to the industry has given lash artists a platform to grow into their potential and be able to showcase their work on a national stage. These awards present a chance to build friendships, forge connections, and challenge yourself in new ways.

See you all in September!
